Which tuning is right for my hand size?
The choice of tuning depends on your hand size. G, F# and F are ideal for small hands – the finger holes are closer together and easy to reach. E, Eb and D are suitable for medium-sized hands. C# and C are recommended for large hands as the finger spacing is wider. If you are unsure, F# and D are the most popular tunings and work well for most people.
How long does shipping take?
Within Europe, shipping takes approximately 1-2 weeks after completion of your flute. Outside Europe (USA, Canada, Australia, etc.), shipping takes approximately 3-4 weeks. Production time is 10-15 business days. All flutes are carefully packaged to ensure safe delivery.
Which tuning sounds best for my purpose?
G, F# and F have a rather dynamic, bright sound – ideal for active playing and melodies. E and lower tunings have a more meditative, deep and calming sound – perfect for sound baths, meditation and relaxation. The most popular tunings are F# (versatile, dynamic) and D (deep, meditative).
Can I customize my flute?
Yes! I can personalize your flute according to your wishes. Wood carvings, inlays, special engravings or burning designs are available upon request. Individual customizations are possible at an extra charge. Just contact me via the contact form and tell me your ideas.
Which are the most popular tunings?
The most popular tunings are F# and D. F# is versatile with a dynamic, bright character – ideal for beginners and versatile use. D has a deep, meditative sound and is particularly popular with sound therapists and for sound baths. Both tunings are available in 432Hz or 440Hz.
What does 432Hz or 440Hz mean?
These are the reference frequencies for tuning. 440Hz is the standard concert pitch used in most modern music. 432Hz is considered a "natural" frequency and is preferred by many sound therapists for its perceived calming, harmonious qualities. Both are available at no extra charge – simply choose your preference when ordering.
Do I need previous musical experience?
No! Drone flutes are very beginner-friendly. The pentatonic scale means you cannot play wrong notes – every combination sounds harmonious. The drone chamber creates automatic accompaniment, making even simple melodies sound rich and professional. Most beginners play beautiful music within minutes.
